STAFF OFFICER'S SWORD, EMPIRE Brass mounting. Pommel with thunderbolt knuckle in the shape of a snake and quillon and quillon with zoomorphic head. Keyboard with an imperial eagle, wings spread. Blade triangular section (poor condition). Remains of a leather scabbard. France, First Empire period. Total length: 95 cm PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
