A historically and politically important specimen of Fascist bibliography, published during the early years of the regime. The volume collects the programmatic speeches that accompanied the National Fascist Party's rise to power. Author: Benito Mussolini. Title: The Speeches of the Revolution. Edition features: Second edition, integrated with the first speech given by Mussolini as Prime Minister. Preface: Edited by Italo Balbo. Printing information: Milan, Casa Editrice 'Imperia' del Partito Nazionale Fascista (Via Pietro Verri 12). Iconographic apparatus: The frontispiece features a photographic portrait of Mussolini in a reflective pose, with facsimile autograph signature at the base of the image. The frontispiece bears the logo of the publishing house with the fascio littorio and the motto 'Alta Alatis'. Technical details: Binding: Fine editorial binding in brown full leather (or imitation leather) with evident grain. Four-nerved spine with titles and friezes stamped in gold within gusset. Conservation status: Very good overall condition. The binding appears solid and the gold titles on the spine are well preserved and legible. Interior clean with paper in good condition.
