ETRUSCO-CORINTHIAN TERRACOTTA ARYBALLOS. Ca. 700 - 600 BC A terracotta aryballos with an ovoid body tapering to a slightly pointed base, a short neck rising to a flat, disc-shaped mouth, and a single vertical handle attached from the shoulder to the rim. The exterior is decorated with concentric horizontal bands in added red and brown, the shoulder showing a narrow frieze of petal shapes beneath a dotted band around the mouth. Size: 90mm x 55mm; Weight: 65g. Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgium art market; originally in the collection of D Bogaerts, Brussels 1990’s.
