[EURASIANS] Iskhod k Vostoku: predchuvstviya i sversheniya: utverzhdenie evraziytsev ['Exodus to the East: presentiments and realisations: the affirmation of the Eurasians']; articles by P. Savitski, P. Suvchinski, Prince N.S. Trubetskoï and Georgi Florovski. Sofia: Balkan, 1921. VII, 125 p.; 23.5 × 16 cm. Vintage hardcover, with publisher's illustrated dust jacket and title page designed by P. Chelishchev. Good condition. Publisher's dust jacket retained at end of volume. Body of text slightly trimmed. Library stamps faded. This collection became de facto the first collective manifesto of the Eurasians - a movement that emerged in the 1920s (its publications spanning from 1920 to 1937). Aware of the crisis in contemporary European culture, the Eurasians saw Russia as a world apart, embodying a burgeoning Orthodox culture that was fundamentally different from both European and Asian traditions. A famous Eurasianist publication. A rarity with the publisher's cover preserved. At the buyer's request, we would be happy to provide a general condition report on the lot described above.
