Folded fan, mid-18th century, ivory frame, re-pierced, carved, engraved, gilded, silvered and painted, decorated with two ladies of high standing crowning a young man with flowers, set within a frame of garlands of flowers and fruit and scrolls of rocaille foliage. Sheet painted in gouache on paper with sinuous reserves decorated with genre scenes and architectural motifs (small tears on the sheet), H. 26.5 cm.
