A Greek votive terracotta bust of Athena wearing an open Beotian helmet with
stylised plume on top of the head. Arms conventionally truncated, the torso rests
on a large terracotta block base decorated with a small ridge The back of the fig-
ure is un-modelled save a finely detailed triple braid projecting out from the back
of the helmet. Well-proportioned classical face looking downward which suggests
that the figure may have been displayed perhaps in an elevated niche in a tomb
chamber or above an altar. 4th-3rd Century BCE.
