EXCEPTIONAL EGYPTIAN STONE RAM-SHAPED PALETTE.
Naqada II, Ca. 3600 - 3100 BC.
A smooth, flat, grey schist palette in the form of a ram featuring a rounded body and a small projecting foot and head. A hole is drilled through to form an eye; another hole is drilled through the ram’s upper body, perhaps for hanging this item on a wall for storage.
