CIGARETTE CASE
Rectangular, hinged, silver cigarette case with match compartment and side scraper.
The lid engraved with a dedication, applied with two chased gold running dogs, one with a diamond in its mouth, and an Art Nouveau-inspired chased gold female face wearing a necklace of small diamonds. A rose-cut diamond crowns the clasp.
The interior, formerly gilded, is marked with the imperial initials.
Signed and engraved.
Hallmark: 88, Saint Petersburg
Goldsmith's hallmark: K. Fabergé.
Master's hallmark : Anders Nevalainen (1858 - 1933).
With original silk trimmings and wooden case.
Photocopy of its original invoice dated 1887.
It was a gift from Tsar Nicholas I Lieutenant General Mikhail Alexeiev (1857 - 1918).
