This type of decoration, with the finest flower painting based on 17th century copperplate engravings by Jacques Bailly and Maria Sibylla Merian, is attributed to Christian Wilhelm von Löwenfinck and his sister-in-law Maria Séraphia von Löwenfinck, who left the Meissen Manufactory in 1748-49.
