The author, born in Montélimar, supported the Montgolfier brothers' research financially by launching subscriptions for the construction of balloons. Second edition for the first work illustrated with a folded table and 9 figures out of text; the second volume entitled "Première suite" is in the first edition and illustrated with 5 figures.
