Heir to a tradition of craftsmanship in Lyon, he developed a singular aesthetic language, combining geometric rigour, the nobility of precious woods and patented technical innovations, including the famous decorative brass studding. His elegant, functional designs combine the spirit of Art Deco with the prefiguration of post-war modular furniture.
