Fine Meissen teapot with landscape and shopping scenes
Pressed globular shape with animal head spout and J-shaped foliage handle with shell relief. Flush-fitting lid with pine knob. In the centre four-pass gold ornamental reserves framed by foliage and scrollwork, with Böttger chandelier. Inside, various expansive architectural and tree-lined landscape scenes with horsemen in front of bodies of water and a cloudy sky. The shoulder with a gold lace border and exotic birds. Corresponding shrubs with kakiemon blossoms on the sides. The lid with figural shopping scenes. Fine polychrome painting, probably by Johann Georg Heintze. Gold and bright gold decoration. Turner mark for Johann Christian Dietrich. Centreboard mark. H. 12 cm.
