FELLOWS (Charles). A Narrative of an Ascent to the Summit of Mont-Blanc. London, edited on the author's behalf by T. Davidson, 1827. In-4°, full contemporary cloth binding, new spine, reinforced hinges, author and title label on spine, in recent hardback slipcase. First edition, private edition of about 150 copies. It is illustrated with a title vignette, ten black hors-texte plates by Hullmandel after drawings by the author, a hors-texte facsimile and a hors-texte diagram.
This work relates the eighteenth ascent of Mont Blanc. Without doubt the most highly regarded account of the first ascents of Mont Blanc.
A copy dedicated by the author to Mrs J. H. Bodly.
