[WOMEN]. Set of two volumes. [NOËL (C.-M.-D.)]. The Triumph of Women. Antwerp, H. Sleghers, 1700. In-16, fawn calf covered with green vellum (contemporary binding). First edition of this unusual work "in which it is shown that the female sex is nobler and more perfect than the male". It is a revised version of the same author's Avantages du sexe (Antwerp, 1698). Curious binding formerly covered with green vellum. Loss of vellum on the spine, one headband frayed, foxing.

Worn paper boards, slight wetness at head.
