The first examines the natural phenomena of Lake Palici in Sicily, comparing them to similar sites in Campania and Irpinia, and explores related myths and ancient history. The second describes the features and origins of Sicilian amber, including chemical and physical experiments. The third, written for Spallanzani, discusses the honey of southeastern Sicily and beekeeping practices, with details on the flora of the Hyblaean Mountains and their pollination mechanisms.
