Until early 2004, a prospective buyer had to scarify his/her Challenge 360 to let it be converted into a FIA N-GT vehicle. It was not until the end of 2004 that Michelotto was supplied with bodyshells by Ferrari and was able to build the cars. Thus between 2002 and 2004 only a total of about 20 GTs and N-GTs have been created by Michelotto and only 10 more by racing teams. This vehicle was delivered in 2001 as challenge to the 360, which was hitherto the most uncompromising version of the Modena, only authorized for racing. Compared to its predecessor, this is not the conversion of a standard vehicle, but a riding machine specially developed for racing. In 2003, this vehicle has been converted into a 360-N-GT by a professional German racing team in order to be driven competitive in the FIA N-GT class. In 2004 the vehicle successfully participated in 2 races. The vehicle was fitted with the wide body kit of the 360 GT as well as various other aerodynamic improvements and was brought to a take-off weight of 1100 kg due to many carbon parts. Thanks to the BBS racing rims fitted with slicks and central shutter, the now available 470 hp catapult the driver forward and ensure brachial grip in every curve. The 6 gears of the especially short ratio racing gearbox are shifted via F1 paddles on the removable steering wheel and distribute the power over a F1 racing differential. The very generously sized FIA GT Brembo 8-piston brakes and the Intrax titan racing chassis, allow racing at the highest level. On the inside, new HANS compatible Sparco Pro ADV bucket seats, new HANS compatible Sabelt 6-point harnesses, a roll cage by OMP and a fire extinguishing system are installed, which together ensure maximum security. The engine is a long-distance racing engine with Michelotto camshafts, revised intake manifold, optimized control units, intake system / LC Racing Venturi air filter system and an optimized Challenge exhaust system.
