Yet the question concerning the first registration quickly turns out to be superfluous, since the vehicle was not registered until today and to the present day has its original 300 km. But let’s go back to the year 1991, when former purchaser Monsieur Eicher P. Andre ordered his dream in red at the Garage Beau-Rivage in Lausanne. Upon completion of the vehicle and ready for pickup from the retailer, the owner asked the car salesmen to store the car for about 1 year, since he was about to enter a convent. One year turned into incredible 24 years and the Mondial 90042 was still with the retailers, preserved and stored professionally with demounted tires. Meanwhile, the son of the original customer established contact with the retailer and made a request for a trade-in for a Riva boat. Thus this unique Mondial was made available for sale on the free-market and left its garage for the first time after more than two decades.
