FERRERO DI LAVRIANO (Francesco Maria). Augustæ regiæque Sabaudæ domus arbor gentilitia. [Turin, G. B. Zappata, 1702]. In-folio, red morocco, double framed with gilt twists and dotted lines lobed at the inner corners, gilt title "Maison Royale de Savoye" in a foliate medallion in the centre of the first plate, ornate smooth spine, guilloche edges, gilt edges (Early 19th century binding). The only suite of prints in this luxurious work on the genealogy of the House of Savoy. It includes a sumptuous title-frontispiece engraved by Georges Tasnière after Giulio Cesare Grampino and 33 numbered portraits of the counts and dukes of Savoy, from Bérold de Saxe to Victor-Amédée II, interpreted after the drawings of the Annécian painter François-Jean-Dominique Lange by the engravers Georges Tasnière, Pierre Giffart and Jean-Baptiste Bouchet. Three additional engraved portraits of the dukes Charles-Emmanuel III, Victor-Amédée III and Charles-Emmanuel IV (the latter before the letter) have been added at the end of the volume. A superb, luxuriously bound album, without the text by Abbé Ferrero di Lavriano. Minor spotting to spine and second board. Saffroy, III, n°50113.
