Minja figure in carved wood and polychrome with natural pigments. It symbolises the spirit of water and is also associated with crop fertility (yams). It was part of the ornaments of the large communal house in the centre of the villages. A label on the back reads: "Nagri Village", Upper Sepik Region, Papua New Guinea, Oceania.
