FIGURE OF MOSES Probably France, 2nd half of the 18th century. Copy after Michelangelo's Moses, 1513-1515 for the Julius Tomb in the church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome. Terracotta. Horned Moses seated with the Ten Commandments on a flat rectangular base. H 58 cm. Losses to the folds of the garment, chips to the base, rear right corner missing, one toe missing.
