The original appeared in 1779. Jean-Jacques Fillassier (1742-1799), an agronomist and member of the Legislative Assembly, describes the techniques for growing this large asparagus, renowned for its earliness, productivity and resistance. He described natural methods for growing asparagus outdoors, enabling it to be harvested over an eight-month period, without the need for artificial methods. This edition is enriched by a supplement entitled "Questions Proposées dans la Gazette d'Agriculture du 19 mars 1782" (Questions Proposed in the Gazette of Agriculture of 19 March 1782), covering related subjects such as grafting and pruning of fruit trees, topsoil and game sheds. A good copy in contemporary binding. Paper restoration on the edge of the first two leaves.
