FINE SILK GHOUM RUG (Iran circa 1980) signed: Ghoum. Garnet field decorated with scrolls of stylised flowers and foliage framing a large central rosette with a floral crown. Four golden beige spandrels with fine crenellated stems of stylised flowers. Three borders, the main one coloured, and motifs echoing the spandrels. Silk velvet on silk foundation. Density: approximately 10,000 knots per dm2. L. 146 x W. 100 cm. (Good condition)
