Small rimmed foot and ribbon-like handle taken up on the belly with two foliate decorations in relief.
In 1736 the majolica maker Pietro Barone from Castelli (TE) moved to Bussi sul Tirino where he married the widow Margherita Finissi from that town in 1752.
The jug in question, dating from the 1820s-30s, can be ascribed to the production of that family.
The front depicts a stylised figure of a warrior wearing a headdress between two sets of leaves in the typical Bussi colours of green, yellow and manganese brown on a white background.

Diameter of base: 15 cm.
Diameter of rim: 14 cm.
Conditions:
Good overall. Slight falls of stanniferous glaze concentrated mainly in the handle and rim and a small felting affecting part of the reverse and the base
