In-12 of 101 leaves (out of 103), soft ivory vellum (contemporary binding). This treatise is the first French work published by Oronce Finé, professor of mathematics under François I. It is considered to be the FIRST BOOK OF ASTROLOGY PRINTED IN FRENCH and is also the one that has remained in use the longest. Finé describes the celestial movements and the disposition of the 7 planets known at the time, and also deals with eclipses, the 12 houses of the sky and the 12 signs of the Zodiac. It is rare and illustrated with 46 ASTRONOMIC FIGURES engraved by Finé himself. The last 2 leaves are missing. Light rings on the first leaves and some foxing. (Brunet II, 1260) (USTC 6024458).
