Single-sided crimson silk background (burnt) embroidered in the centre with the "Grandes Armes de l'Empire" in silk and cotton thread, with an Eagle motif in gold thread. Trimmed with yellow braid and fringe (faded). Three suspension rings.

Commentary:
Around 1806, the trumpet apron changed shape and ornamentation. Much smaller, it was square-shaped, in crimson damask, fringed with gold and decorated with the great Arms of the Empire. The only contemporary document providing a drawing is an engraving by Martinet.
