Flat-sided glass schnapps flask decorated with two polychrome half shells in painted pressed sheet metal (hearth object) for a reservist of the 8th artillery regiment of Metz (occupied Alsace-Lorraine) dated 1912-14 and attributed to reservist "Bost". A hinged lid on the side of the flask reveals a photograph of the bride and a gallant scene. The stopper features an imperial eagle in relief. Carrying strap in the Reich colours.
