AGNUS DEI
Silver sculpture mounted on a high wooden pedestal embellished with marble applications. The pose of the lamb, represented with its left front leg raised, recalls the emblem of the Arte della Lana, one of the most powerful guilds in Florence and certainly the one with the largest number of workers, present in the city from 1317 and active until 1770. The guild's coat of arms in fact depicted the silver Agnus Dei with a raised paw holding the flag of the Municipality of Florence; 26.5x29x8 cm the sculpture, 14.5x29x12 cm the base
