Patinated bronze figure, the young man depicted completely nude, his right arm stretched along his side and his left arm raised in the act of holding the head of the giant Goliath, now lost together with his hand, probably originally cast separately. A work of clear Florentine extraction, to be dated to the last years of the 15th century, it has been attributed to the workshop of Antonio del Pollaiolo (Florence 1431 - Rome 1498); h. 14.5 cm; mounted on a truncated pyramid-shaped base of ebonised wood, 4.5x5.2x5.2 cm
