A series of four Meissen satyr groups. On an irregular rock base, partly covered with sculptural foliage and naturalistically painted, the fully sculptured, narratively composed group of a satyr child and girl or boy. Satyr adorning a Dionysus boy with vine leaves and lifting him up, and satyr kneeling over a girl and taking a bird from a cage. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Michel Victor Acier, c. 1771, model no. D 25, D 26, (D 27), D 28, unmarked; crossed swords marks. H. 16 cm - 19 cm.
