Second illustrated edition of this famous chronicle, the first having appeared in 1483. It contains at the beginning of the text a large woodcut in a beautiful frame representing the creation of the world, 3 other large woodcuts including the Tower of Babel which appears for the first time and 63 VERY NICE VIEWS of cities including Rome and Venice which are particularly beautiful. Circles, a few traces of moisture in the bottom margin, and small galleries with damage to some letters (Sander 917) (ISTC ij00211000) (Essling 343).
