Presented under glass on a green velvet background in a gilded frame with a cartouche reading "The coronation of Emperor Napoleon I".

A silk fragment with a wheat ear decoration, embroidered with canetille and gold lamé, from the 19th C.
Commentary:
This is not a fragment of the coronation tunic, which, although made of ivory silk, like our fragment, did not have an embroidery of ears of wheat.
