Mercier). First edition of the author's first and only collection of poems, dedicated to Leconte de Lisle. One of 580 copies on wove paper. Only 2 large papers were printed on Chine. The copy is enriched with a letter from Anatole France to Adolphe Racot, an autograph note from the same to Théodore de Banville thanking him in very choice terms for having given a favourable review of his collection, and an autograph sonnet for the poem Soir, mounted at the head of the volume.
