Head on the left of the King, hair tied with a ribbon on the nape of the neck. Below (different) (date). Rv. REIGN OF THE LAW. The Genius of France engraving the word CONSTITUTION (in two lines) on a table of the law resting on an altar, flanked by (different) and a beam on the left, a cock and (workshop) on the right. DUPRÉ signature on the base of the altar. In the exergue: L'AN (date) DE LA LIBERTÉ in two lines. G.61 - Dy.1717 - Fr.477 ; Gold - 7.6 g - 23 mm - 6 h PCGS AU58 (55951648). Rare vintage, and contemporary with the King's execution. Minor adjustment marks on the right. Regular wear on the reliefs with only small marks in the fields. The original gloss remains visible under a delicate patina. A superb piece.
