Av. + EDVVARDVS: DEI:x - xGRAx - xAGL': FRANCIE: REX, punctuated by two superimposed saltires. The King seated in a Gothic stall, crowned, wearing the haubert and the cotte d'armes, holding the sword and the shield of France with countless lilies, within a polylobe flanked by small shamrocks; saltires on the steps of the stall. Rv. + XP'C: VINCIT: XP'C: REGNAT: XP'C: IMPERAT, punctuated by two superimposed saltires. Four-lobed cross with flowers within a quatrefoil decorated with leaves and flanked by four shamrocks. Dy.286A = L. Chaurand, BSFN, 1952, p.125 - AGC.38A v. - Fr.2 ; Gold - 4,45 g - 28,5 mm - 10 h Top Pop: the only graded example! PCGS MS62 (60810935). Punctuation by two superimposed saltires, including after DEI (and followed by a single saltire), on the right and reverse. Trefoils pointing downwards in the canton of the polylobe on the right (4 + 4 = variety not reported in Withers and Ford). The surfaces are slightly corroded but clean and the combination of legends is new. Beautiful golden patina. TTB to Superb.
