Châtel tournois furnished with a crowned lily. Border of ten lilies within ovals. Rv. FRANCORVM (trefoil) REX and in outer legend: + BNEDICTV: SIT: NOME: DNI: NRI: IHV: XPI. Cross. Dy.350 (large crowned castle); Silver - 3.16 g - 24 mm - 3 h The flan is barely veiled with a minimal weakness of striking. Pleasant patina. TTB to Superb. Coinage ordered in May 1359: gros au lis couronné and not gros au châtel couronné as Duplessy calls it. This production of Languedoc is attested in Montpellier and three other workshops of Languedoc. Three examples were present in the Mirepoix treasure with two different types of engraving
