Rv. GRADIENDO RO - BORE FLORET. Lesdiguières shield surrounded by the collars of the order of the Holy Spirit and the order of Saint Michael, surmounted by a ducal crown.

François de Bonne (Saint-Bonnet, 1543 - Valence, 1626), a small nobleman from the Dauphiné, had an extraordinary career. He became Constable of France, i.e. head of all the French armies, and gave a new face to the province of Dauphiné and its capital, Grenoble.
