Bust of the King on the left, in embroidered habit, with the order of the Holy Spirit, the hair tied on the nape of the neck by a ribbon. Signature DUVIV on the edge of the bust. Below (different). Rv. CHRS. REGN. VINC. IMPER (different) (date). Crowned shield of France, surmounted by sceptre and hand of justice in saltire, all between two palms below (workshop). Dy.1702 - G.358 - Fr.469 ; Gold - 8.16 g - 23 mm - 6 h Top Pop (3): this is the finest example graded by PCGS! From the collection of Abbé Jacques Thilliez, Burgan sale, 12 November 2021, No. 337. PCGS AU58 (45101305). Good centring on a regular blank with minor imperfections of rolling and striations of adjustment not very visible. Regular wear on the high reliefs, with a scratch on the reverse in the shield. A golden patina covers the fields but the original shine is still present around the reliefs. A rare item. Superb.
