The King seated in a gothic stall, crowned, dressed in hauberts and cotte d'armes, holding sword and shield of France with lilies without number, in a polylobe cantoned with small shamrocks; saltires on the steps of the stall. Rv. + XP'C: VINCIT: XP'C: REGNAT: XP'C IMPERAT (punctuated by double saltire). Four-lobed cross with flowers within a quatrefoil decorated with leaves and flanked by four shamrocks without tails. Dy.249A - Fr.270; Gold - 4.48 g - 27 mm - 11 h Top Pop (8): this is the most beautiful graded example! PCGS MS63 (59800014). Uncommon issue with the punctuation by two superimposed saltires in the legends on the right, and on the reverse. Slight flat on the King's breastplate. Beautiful golden patina. Superb at Fleur de coin.
