The King seated in a Gothic stall with crowned baldachin, holding sceptre and hand of justice, his feet resting on two reclining lions. Rv. + XPC: VINCIT: XPC: REGNAT: XPC: IMPERAT. Cross leaved and flory with quatrefoil in heart, flanked by four lilies, within a quatrefoil with four outer corners trefoiled. Dy.248 - Fr.264; Gold - 7 g - 31 mm - 10 h From a Fraysse et Associés sale, S. Bourgey, 20 June 2007, No. 147. NGC MS 61 (8583596-006). The blank is slightly warped with a minor weakness in the central strike. Beautiful blank, with centred strike. Slight circulation wear, with a golden patina. Superb.
