Knight's cross of the Legion of Honour of the 1st type in silver with 5 white enamelled double rays, gold centres in 2 parts, on the obverse the large laurelled head of the Emperor turned to the right on a rayed background with motto "Napoléon Emp. des français" on a blue enamelled background, on the reverse the imperial eagle head turned to the left on a starburst background with motto "Honneur et Patrie" on a blue enamelled background, wreath of foliage, oak and laurel, sparsely enamelled green typical of early manufacture, trigger guard with single barrel through which passes the smooth ring, original ribbon (unstained). Gross weight: 12 gr, dimensions with ring: 52 mm x 40 mm. Tips chipped, green enamel missing. SUP.
