Knight's cross of the Legion of Honour of the 4th type known as "de Biennais" in silver with 5 double radii enamelled in white dome under a mobile crown with 8 fleurons, gold centres in 2 parts, on the obverse a small laurelled head of the Emperor turned to the right on a radiated background with the motto "Napoléon Emp. des français" on a blue enamelled background, on the reverse the imperial eagle head turned to the right on a striped background with the motto "Honneur et Patrie" on a blue enamelled background, green enamelled crown of foliage, fluted ring, period ribbon. Gross weight: 24.05 g, dimensions with ring: 70 mm x 45 mm. Marked on the ring with a lictor beam (Petite garantie d'argent de Paris 1798-1809). The enamels on the tips have been restored. SUP.
