Within a wreath formed of two branches of laurel: 10 FRANCS above a shield adorned with the francisque with (different) (date) (different) below; TRIAL top left. GEM.175.3 - Maz.2654b (or 2654c, piéfort); Aluminium - 2.99 g - 26 mm - 6 h Top Pop: this is the only graded example! PCGS SP65 (60811499). Special strike (SP). This aluminium test is available in 2.5g and 3g weights, while Mazard refers to normal and piéfort blanks. Our example, 2.4 mm thick, could indeed be mistaken for a piéfort. Special strike with satin-finish relief. Finger marks. Superb at Fleur de coin.
