NGC MS 62 (8583601-017).
Only 9 struck! Minor marks on the right and a few stains (from the cardboard box) on the reverse. Patina with golden highlights in the fields. Superb at Fleur de coin.
The original 1929 competition set includes the 9 silver trials, and only 9 were struck! Only 4 or 5 examples are known: BnF, Monnaie de Paris and perhaps 2 or 3 in private hands (cf. GEM p.403). The artists represented were Bazor, Bénard, Delannoy, Guzman, La Fleur, Morlon, Popineau, Rasumny and the winner, Pierre Turin. However, Turin's essay seems to be easier to find than the figure of 9 copies would suggest.
