Louis Hubert Gonzalve Lyautey (1854-1934) was an officer during the colonial wars, resident general in the French Protectorate of Morocco in 1912, Minister of War during the First World War, then Marshal of France in 1921. In 1927 he was appointed general commissioner of the 1931 Colonial Exhibition in Paris.
