FRANCE - FRANCE Third Republic (1870-1940). Pair of single-sided obverse and reverse proofs of 20 francs Turin, in silver-plated bronze 1929, Paris. FRENCH REPUBLIC. Head of the Republic on the right, with Liberty cap and laurel; below signature P. TURIN. Rv. Between two finials: 20 FRANCS (different) (date) (different) and LIBERTE/ EGALITE/ FRATERNITE; in exergue ESSAI. GEM.199.1 and GEM.199.2; Silver plated bronze - 35 mm - 12 h This is the second highest grade for the obverse and the only one graded for the reverse in this category. NGC MS 64 AND MS 65 (8524371-020 and 021). Close to mint condition, with a few fingerprints and a heterogeneous patina with a few black spots. Superb at Fleur de coin.
