Bare head right, below (different) BARRE. Rv. FRENCH EMPIRE. Imperial arms set on a crowned mantle and surmounting the sceptre and the hand of justice, accosted by 20 - FR; below (workshop) (date) (different). G.1062 - Maz.1616a; Gilt bronze - 3.16 g and 3.43 g - 21 mm - 12 h Top Pop: these are the only graded examples! With covers from Clément Platt, 19 rue des Petits-Champs, Paris. PCGS SP63 (51871466 and 51871465). Burnished blanks (PROOF). Pair of single-sided gilt-bronze proofs, inscribed 20 F on reverse. Barely cleaned for the obverse and slightly rubbed on the high reliefs for the reverse. A superb item.
