Stylized bust left, mouth made of two dots and two dots behind the head. Rv. (at 1 o'clock) EBROICAS CI. Anchored cross. P.- - Dep.- - MEC.- - B.- (cf. 4331 for FREDOALDO); Gold - 1,25 g - 12 mm - 9 h For Fredoaldo or Aldofredo. Natural gold, beautiful yellow colour and perfectly legible. Probably unpublished and very rare document for the Merovingian period of Evreux. Superb. With the name EBROICAS VI(CO) for Évreux, which seems to be a complete form of the name, which will be found in the Carolingian period on denarii, whereas Depeyrot only gives Ebrora or Ebroceca. Fredoaldo is also cited as a coinage in Toulouse (Barthélémy, 1881, p.295 or Belfort 4331).
