FRANCE Pair of officer's pistols 1833 second type having belonged to the count de Lavaille Wooden frame, short barrel, finely squared stock, steel cap, rear lock with piston marked "Manufacture Royale de Chattellerault" (difficult to read) and handwritten engraving with the name of the Comte de Lavaille (also difficult to read), fluted barrel with interior "hair" stripes, iron ramrod, brass nailhead. 36 cm Mid 19th century Ring missing from one of the pistols, oxidation and missing parts.
