France Imperial Guard horse hunter sabre model 1802 from the "Bernard Franck" collection. Single fluted brass mounting, watermarked leather spindle, short quillon with remnant of Versailles regimental number and marking (badly stamped), shuttle-shaped auricle, flat-backed curved blade marked "MANUFACTURE DU KLINGENTHAL", brass scabbard with leather hollow with handwritten label on one of it "sabre de Chasseur à cheval garde impériale Premier Empire n°214 S.H. collection Bernard Franck". Iron sting in the shape of a lyre, yellow buffalo strap.
