Single fluted brass mounting, watermarked leather spindle, short quillon with remnant of Versailles regimental number and marking (badly stamped), shuttle-shaped auricle, flat-backed curved blade marked "MANUFACTURE DU KLINGENTHAL", brass scabbard with leather hollow with handwritten label on one of it "sabre de Chasseur à cheval garde impériale Premier Empire n°214 S.H. collection Bernard Franck". Iron sting in the shape of a lyre, yellow buffalo strap.
