FRANCE Cavalry officer's sabre Chased and gilded brass mounting with one branch, squared ebony handle, straight quillon ending in a ram's head, auricle decorated with allegories of justice on both sides, flat-backed curved blade engraved with foliage and trophies of arms on one third, slight traces of gilding on the heel, chased brass scabbard with two rings, decorated with scenes of bivouac and battles in reserves on one side, lyre-shaped sting. First Empire period L. 101 cm ND Traces of oxidation, missing gilding, old restoration on the handle and slight dent.
